Homemade Pickles and Preserves
We love to make the most of beautiful, in-season produce, and aside from being delicious, it makes a lovely gift for the foodie in your life.
1. Preserved Chillies
We are never without this delicious condiment, and we love to make sure our friends and family aren't either. This is one of our favourite recipes on the blog, and it couldn't be easier to make. I use it on just about anything savoury!
2. Pickled Zucchini
A recipe that came about due to my love of pickled cucumbers, but when I had an excessive amount of zucchini on hand. They are so delicious on a burger, in a salad or just as a side dish to your favourite grilled meats.
3. Plum Jam
Year after year, this is the most popular recipe on the blog; and for good reason! Delicious and so easy to make, this is our favourite way to make the most of beautiful, in season stone fruit.
4. Pickled Beetroot
We use roasted beetroots in this delicious pickle recipe, which gives such a great depth of flavour. Use these on sandwiches, burgers and more.
5. Fresh Peach Chutney
This is one of my Mum, Faye's, recipes, and like my Tomato Chutney, is a perfect addition to a cheese board, toasted sandwich, cold meats and more.
6. Apricot Jam
Like my Plum Jam, this is another delicious and simple stone fruit recipe to make for an edible gift.
7. Spicy Pickled Carrots
The humble carrot is transformed in this delicious pickle recipe. They look so beautiful in the jar, and taste incredible!
8. Grapefruit Marmalade
I am the fifth generation to make marmalade in my family, and it is lovely to share my great great grandmother's recipe for Grapefruit Marmalade. This is the ideal gift for the citrus lover in your life.
9. Blueberry Jam
One of our favourite jam recipes to make, and one that can be enjoyed year round, as it can be made with either fresh or frozen berries.
10. Pickled Celery
Another super simple to prepare pickle that you might find you already have all of the ingredients for.

1. Coconut Truffles
These beautiful truffles are the perfect combination of dark and white chocolate, delicately flavoured with coconut. We think they look like little snowballs, making them ideal for a festive treat.
2. Easy Rocky Road
A classic rocky road recipe, filled with glacé cherries, peanuts and coconut. It is my Mum's absolute favourite chocolate sweet treat, and is a Christmas must-make in our household.
3. Chocolate Covered Strawberries
One of the nicest things to complete a meal. If you're invited to a dinner party and asked to bring a sweet treat, can you really go past these!?
4. Chilli Chocolate Almond Clusters
A recipe my Mum used to make back in her gluten-free catering days. They would go so quickly, and are still a simple sweet treat that we like to enjoy today. Chilli and chocolate is a truly delicious combination.
5. Almond Cookies
These Italian Almond Cookies contain just five ingredients and are both gluten and dairy free. They keep well, making them an ideal gift. Best enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee.

The delicious mocha flavours, a combination of coffee and chocolate, make this sweet treat absolutely irresistible. Like our other chocolate truffle recipes, they are very simple to prepare.

For the white chocolate lover in your life, this is an easy to prepare, colourful sweet treat full of dried fruit and marshmallows.
8. Pistachio Truffles
I am a big fan of all things pistachio, like my Flourless Pistachio Cake and Gluten-Free Pistachio Cookies. These delicious truffles are another great option and a fabulous edible gift.

The hardest part of this recipe is waiting for it to cool. It is a wonderful gift as it travels well, and looks beautiful in a cellophane bag or gift box. (Your loved ones won't even notice if a few pieces are missing..!)

This is a wonderful gift for a party or celebration. Enjoy with a glass of champagne; trust us, it is a wonderful combination.
