Soy Roasted Almonds are a delicious snack that takes minutes to prepare. You can enjoy them served warm straight from the oven or make them in advance and serve cool.

They are a delicious nibble served with your beverage of choice.

Enjoy with my Strawberry Prosecco or Cosmopolitan. I also love to keep the almonds on hand for when I need a quick in-between-meal snack! (They will last for a week in a sealed jar – if you can resist them for that long!)

One of the best things about these Soy Roasted Almonds is how well they go with many other dishes. They make a great tapas, served alongside a selection of dips or my Baked Feta with Olives and Rosemary.

Add the almonds to your salad of choice – they will add a delicious texture and flavour! They’re also delicious chopped roughly and sprinkled over a rice or noodle dish.

This recipe also has the option to be gluten free.

Many soy sauces do in fact contain gluten. There are now many options which are gluten-free, such as Tamari. You can also adapt the quantities in the recipe – make a smaller or larger batch as required.

    Soy Roasted Almonds

It doesn’t get much simpler to prepare the Soy Roasted Almonds. Ensure your oven is pre-heated, as the preparation takes no time! Firstly, line a baking tray with some baking/parchment paper. Mix the oil and soy sauce in a small bowl and add the almonds. Toss to combine and place the coated almonds on the baking tray. Roast in the oven for 15 minutes, turning the almonds half way through. And that is it – your almonds will be ready to enjoy!

Almonds have a myriad of health benefits, but sometimes it is nice to enjoy them with a little extra flavour.

Love almonds as much as we do? Try our Spicy Roasted Almonds also!

I hope you will enjoy these Soy Roasted Almonds and be sure to let me know in the comments below when you try them!

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup almonds raw
    • 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil or other neutral flavoured oil
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

    Recipe Measurements:

For accuracy, we recommend weighing your ingredients. This will produce the best results.

    Instructions

    • Preheat your oven to 180 Degrees C (350 F).
    • Line a baking tray with some baking/parchment paper.
    • Put the oil and soy sauce in a small bowl.
    • Add the almonds, and toss well to combine.
    • Place the coated almonds on the baking tray, and roast for 15 minutes in the oven.
Turn the almonds halfway through to ensure even cooking.
    • Serve immediately if enjoying warm, or allow to cool completely before storing.

    Notes

    * Ensure your almonds are fresh and in good condition. (Rancid nuts are horrible, and broken nuts will become rancid quicker!)
    * I recommend using baking/parchment paper to make cleaning easier.
    * I use Tamari or gluten-free soy sauce, but regular soy sauce works just as well.
    * Allow the nuts to cool completely before storing, if not eating straight away.

This just looks appetizing!! I like how the soy got to be glazed-looking in the pictures! I currently am experimenting in the kitchen and this reminds me to get my almonds prepped up just the way you did for my next project!

My husband makes a really similar recipe with honey, but I love the sound of soy almond too! Will have to get him to make some for me 😉
