Create this delicious Peach and Mint Smoothie in minutes. This is one of the many ways, and certainly one of the easiest ways, to enjoy some of the summer’s bounty.
I love all the fruits of summer, but especially peaches, so when they’re in season I like to use them in as many ways as possible.
This delicious smoothie is packed with all kinds of goodness; the delicious, juicy, sweet, yellow peaches, plain unsweetened yoghurt and the flavour boosters of lime juice and fresh mint leaves. It is nutritious and refreshing. It tastes far more decadent than it actually is as the yoghurt adds creaminess to the juicy peaches and for added nutrients and ease of preparation I have not peeled the peaches.
It is a recipe which is quickly prepared taking about 5 minutes to whip up. It is subtly sweet, the yoghurt and lime juice adding a delicious tang. Just put it all into a high-speed blender and blend until it is smooth and creamy.
The recipe is a great base from which to work. You can use almost any fruit as your smoothie base. Accordingly, in lieu of peaches, you could try apricots, plums, bananas or berries. I prefer to always use plain yoghurt as fruit-based yoghurts tend to contain a great deal of unnecessary added sugar. For the best results, it is important to use fully ripe peaches.
Depending on the type of fruit you use, and the ripeness of the fruit, I suggest you check the sweetness after blending. You may need to add a little extra honey or sweetener of your choice.
I have used only peaches today but sometimes, for a slight change of flavour, and to make the smoothie a beautiful shade of pink, I like to add a few strawberries or raspberries. The berries are ideal companions for the peaches.
With just a few ingredients, I feel without a doubt that this peach smoothie recipe will quickly become a favourite throughout summer.
It will take about 5 minutes to whip up.

Peach and Mint Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 large peaches white or yellow *
- ½ cup plain yoghurt unsweetened
- 12 large fresh mint leaves
- 2 teaspoon lime juice * freshly squeezed
- 12 ice cubes
- 2 teaspoon honey * or sweetener of your choice
Recipe Measurements:
For accuracy, we recommend weighing your ingredients. This will produce the best results.
Instructions
- Prepare all the ingredients.
- Wash and dry the peaches and cut them into chunks.
- Place all the ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and enjoy.
- Drink as soon as possible after blending as the peaches will oxidise and become a less than appealing brown shade if left too long.
Notes
*I have used plain, unsweetened, Greek yoghurt but any plain yoghurt will be suitable. It is preferable to avoid yoghurts which have added sugar.
*I like the flavour of freshly squeezed lime juice with the peaches but you could also use lemon juice. Freshly squeezed juices are preferable to the bottled variety as they have superior flavour.
*I like to use honey as a sweetener but you may prefer to use agave nectar or rice malt syrup.
*An extra tip: to enjoy the flavour of summer on a bleak winter’s day, I like to freeze some fresh peaches at the height of the season. Chop peaches into cubes, spread them out on a shallow tray which you have lined with cling wrap and put in the freezer for a few hours. As soon as they are frozen, put into a labelled zip-lock bag and enjoy throughout winter. Just be sure that you don’t leave them too long uncovered in the freezer or they will sustain freezer-burn.
